Why WorkshopLive Music Lessons Are Simply The Best

Many years of experience and expertise go into designing the lessons and the curriculum. WorkshopLive CEO David Smolover founded National Guitar Workshop in 1984, a premier music camp that has been educating musicians of all ages since then. His vision and experience are complemented by Nathaniel Gunod, VP of Content at WorkshopLive and co-founder of NGW and DayJams, and former professor of guitar at the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore. Nathaniel Gunod has been writing and publishing music instruction books for fifteen years. Each curriculum is reviewed by him, and once approved, some of the finest teachers in North America are flown into our studio where the lessons are recorded. Our postproduction team transcribes the music into digital format, creates the player animation and the graphics. The lessons are then assembled by our lesson builders and reviewed by a qualified musician before they're published online, to meet our high quality standards.

Setting The Highest of Standards Is Our Motivation

You can be confident that you are learning valid and accurate information from dedicated music teachers, using the most comprehensive curriculum that meets the strictest of teaching standards. Each lesson is designed to give you a week's worth of material to work on and master, just as you would when taking a lesson from a teacher in your hometown. Our teachers are also successful authors and touring musicians who understand how to teach the skills necessary to enable you to play guitar, keyboard, bass, and drums. If you are already an experienced player, the intermediate and advanced lessons will teach you new skills and allow you to explore different styles. Most importantly, our teachers make it fun and take away the fear factor.

To get the most out of your lessons, we offer study guides that guide you through each lesson and give you advice on how to practice.

Learning a musical instrument takes time, practice and patience. Your commitment to regular practice and playing, and our commitment to high-quality lessons make for a winning team.

The people working for WorkshopLive live up to that commitment on a daily basis, setting the highest of standards for themselves and the company. The vast majority of WorkshopLive employees, including video and sound engineers, curriculum editors, IT developers, content managers, lesson animators, and the executive team, are musicians- in other words, we're all passionate about music here.

Expect the best from us, because you deserve it.
